Welcome to Mountain Music! We’re Chris and Gabby, the proud owners of this joyful, rustic cabin, and we’re delighted that you’ve chosen it for your getaway.

We purchased this property in the spring of 2024, but it was built in 1982 by local craftsmen and has enjoyed a long history as a well-loved home. We were drawn in, first by the beautiful Big Creek Valley, but then by the authenticity of the house that we could immediately feel. This wasn’t a cookie-cutter cabin. It had been vacant a while and needed attention, but it had presence and soul, and we knew it was ready for its next chapter.

The plan was to move in for four months, but we spent over a year living here full time, visualizing, planning, demoing, updating, designing, thrifting, and generally aiming to make it as comfortable and fun as possible, while preserving the unique vibe that initially attracted us. It was a large undertaking, but well worth it, and we couldn’t be happier to share our special spot with you.
